Glide By Night: A Game of Glide or Die

Glide By Night is a tiny RPG set in the desolate wasteland of what was once known as Wilder Falls, Illinois. In this game, players take on the roles of human survivors struggling to live in a world overrun by eternal darkness and deadly monsters known as the Underkin. 

It’s a lot to take in, right? Darkness, Monsters… Maybe, it’d be easier if we started by talking you through the last few years.

 See, some professor dude was studying a book called the Necroblobicob or something like that. Anyways, he read this passage from it and suddenly the world was plummeted into eternal darkness and the Underkin crawled out of the very depths of hell to satisfy their eternal hunger for flesh! Crazy, right? Well, it’s now a couple of years later and the world’s governments have fallen, leaving survival to the ones who have perfected The Glide.

Now, what the heck is the Underkin?

The Underkin are massive, horrific creatures that burrow underground, always patrolling, searching for a source of food. Sensing movement like sharks sense blood, they attempt to pull anyone or anything who so much as touches natural earth underground and eat them alive. Thankfully, the Underkin’s massive weight and poor eyesight make it relatively safe for survivors to live and glide between elevated strongholds throughout the town of Wilder Falls.

The survivors of Wilder Falls Glide between their various strongholds. This allows them to maintain a semblance of normal life, but comes with its own risks. If you miss your mark, its possible to land on the ground and if you end up too far out… you’re sure to be pulled into the depths below.
